You sleep and lights of many hues
break through half-opened windows
and I peek as if seeing you
for the first time in our new world
together, my angel, how brave
we crossed oceans to breathe the same air
and mountains in Hawaii now protect us
and the moon is as white as your wings
and draws us into your dreams, good night.
