For now we see through a glass, darkly.
1 Corinthians 13:12

For now we discern sound waves, lightly,
as images wobble on a screen,
and the patient holds his breath
on a bed near the sonographer
who knows quiet fear he tries to save
for later, but she sees this picture
every day, humble souls who wander
through this cloud of uncertainty
and wonder how their lives will change,
what might remain, but we know the answer:
faith, hope and love which is not proud.

Dear Readers,
I’ve had quite a scare this past month, but it looks like I’m out of the woods!
