Postscripts to my theme yesterday:
When my maternal grandfather was really upset, one would hear from him a soft but intense “Sakrament!” One wanted to give Grandad space during those times!
Once in my early 20s when I was living in the country in Austria, I rode my bike past a field where farmers were working. One accidentally hit himself on the foot with a rake. I heard him roar “Sakrament!”
Some words remain in families even if they left the “Old World” generations ago!
My prince and princess
Who needs to be descended from royalty or have titles when you’ve found your very own prince and princess — and get to be with them every day!
For readers who are celebrating a holiday this weekend, I wish you a wonderful time with family and friends. We will be with the Quakers on Sunday!
